  4. This program displays several items related to system resources, and updates 
  5. the display once per second, providing it is given CPU time to do so.  The 
  6. items displayed are: 
  7.  
  8. Available Memory - The amount of system memory available, according to the 
  9. DosMemAvail function.  This function has known problems in the OS/2 1.x 
  10. environment.  Under OS/2 2.0 (beta 6.177), it seems to work just fine. 
  11. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to find out the total system memory 
  12. (for comparison). 
  13.  
  14. Swap File Size - The current size of the system virtual memory swap file, 
  15. SWAPPER.DAT. 
  16.  
  17. Available Swap Space - The amount of free disk space on the logical disk drive 
  18. where the system swap file resides, less the mininum free space.  This is how 
  19. much more the swap file could expand, if necessary. 
  20.  
  21. CPU Load (%) - The approximate percentage of the CPU's available horsepower 
  22. that's being used at the moment.  It is averaged over the previous second. 
  23.  
  24. Drive X Free - The amount of free space on drive X. 
  25.  
  26. The help facility is active, as you've already seen, and those program commands 
  27. that exist may be accessed via the window's system menu.  The following 
  28. commands are available:

  43. When you select this menu option, the program saves its current position and 
  44. the status of the Hide Controls option.  The next time the program is started, 
  45. it will be started with that position and with the controls hidden (or not) 
  46. according to the saved state.

  48. The short-cut key for this command is F2.

  51. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 3. Reset Defaults (Menu Option) ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  53. Selecting this menu option will reset the program's font and color attributes 
  54. to their default values.

  59. This menu option, when selected, will cause the program's frame controls (the 
  60. system menu, the titlebar and the minimize button) to be hidden. This option 
  61. can be toggled with a double-click on either mouse button. Also, since I saw it 
  62. as very useful to be able to move the window while the controls were hidden, 
  63. the window has been set up so that you can drag it with either mouse button.

  68. Selecting this option will toggle whether or not the amount of system memory 
  69. free is displayed.  If the option is check-marked, the free memory is being 
  70. displayed currently.  When the option's state is changed, the program window 
  71. will automatically resize itself to suit the new number of displayed items.

  76. Selecting this option will toggle whether or not the swap-file's current size 
  77. is displayed.  If the option is check-marked, the file size is being displayed 
  78. currently.  When the option's state is changed, the program window will 
  79. automatically resize itself to suit the new number of displayed items.

  84. Selecting this option will toggle whether or not the available swap space is

  86. this time.  When the option's state is changed, the program window will 
  87. automatically resize itself to suit the new number of displayed items.

  100. This menu option, when selected, will cause the program's About dialog to be 
  101. displayed.

  106. This dialog box displays the program name, icon and copyright information. To 
  107. exit the dialog, press the ENTER key, the SPACE bar or the ESCAPE key.

  112. Selecting this option will toggle whether or not the free space on drive C: is

  115. automatically resize itself to suit the new number of displayed items.
